Cyber Essentials
The UK government-backed certificate customers ask for
Cyber Essentials checks five basic controls: firewalls, secure settings, user access, malware protection and security updates. Plus adds a hands-on test of your devices by an independent assessor.

Gap check
We check your devices, accounts and network against each control.
Fixes
Updates, settings and old devices sorted. Any cost is quoted first.
Submission
We complete the questionnaire with you and submit it.
Certificate
Valid for 12 months. We keep you compliant and renew it each year.
Think you have been hacked?
Email us straight away, whether or not you are a client. Disconnect affected devices from the network but leave them switched on.
Common questions
Do we need Cyber Essentials or Plus?
Check what your customer or tender asks for. Many ask for Cyber Essentials; public sector and defence supply chains often ask for Plus.
What if we fail?
The gap check finds problems before we submit, so failures are rare. If the assessor raises something, we fix it and resubmit.
Can you work with our current IT provider?
Yes. We can run the certification and hand the fixes list to your provider.
